What better way to ring in the New Year than a magical evening journey on our vintage passenger train? During the trip, enjoy an elegant dinner prepared and served onboard while talented and hilarious actors entertain you dressed in character. After dinner, dance in our social car and party until the New Year arrives. A midnight Champagne toast and party favors highlight the evening. After the clock strikes midnight, return to Fillmore with an evening full of memories. Reservations required, seating is limited for this popular adults only (21+) event. The cinematic wardrobes of Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Barbra Streisand, Julie Andrews, Gene Kelly, Bette Davis, Kathryn Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, Mae West, Bob Hope and Judy Garland are just a few from the vast collection of over 300 costumes available for this flexible and modular show.

Oxnard's Channel Islands Harbor welcomes the Lady Washington, a faithful replica of the first American ship to round Cape Horn and land in the Pacific Northwest and the Hawaiian Chieftain, an authentic replica of an 18th century square rigged ship.  Dockside tours and adventure sails are offered to the public. The Sicillian Tenors

The Sicilian Tenors bring together three marvelous Tenor voices singing their own interpretations of the world's best music in a recital that is easy for you to stage and wonderful for your audience to experience. Accompanied by a grand piano, the show works perfectly and is a breeze to stage for subscription series venues. The Sicilian Tenors take the audience on a romantic journey from Hollywood to Broadway to Italy with operatic tenor voices singing a wide variety of marvelous songs that America loves. Combined with light-hearted fun, this is a concert for all ages and musical tastes.

Aaron Caruso studied Opera in Italy and New York and has performed La Boheme, Mozart's Bastien und Bastienne, and operatic concerts with excerpts from: La Traviata, I Pagliacci, and Tosca. Aaron was recently chosen to sing the role of Mario Lanza on Broadway. Aaron has headlined at nearly all the major Italian music festivals in the U.S. and specializes in Neapolitan music. Aaron's charisma and showmanship demonstrate his complete mastery of the art of entertaining.

 

Elio Scaccio, a performing artist since early childhood, has been singing virtually his entire life. Classically trained, his pop-classical debut CD "Lettere D'Amore" was released in the spring of 2010. The CD is comprised of original compositions along side well-known Italian classics. A Spanish version of the CD was released in late 2010.

 

Sam Vitale is also a classically trained tenor and has performed the lead tenor roles in Carmen, La Traviata, Tosca, L'Elishir d'Amore, The Phantom of the Opera, Don Giovanni (performed in Cortona, Italy), and Pagliacci. Vitale is also a proud veteran of Desert Storm.

Trumpet at the Mission: Concert for MS Awareness

On Tuesday, July 1st, the San Buenaventura Mission will present a free concert at 7 PM, featuring trumpeter Matthew L. Garza and friends. The Mission is located at 211 East Main Street in Ventura. The family-friendly performance is a special thank you concert for supporters of Mr. Garza’s upcoming 177 mile bike ride benefiting the National MS Society. While the concert is free and open to the public, donations will be accepted at the event, or at http://tiny.cc/trumpetmatt The performance will include many works for trumpet by composers Bernstein, Scarlatti, Vizzutti, Anderson, and more. Ms. Raelynn Clare will accompany Mr. Garza on piano and organ, and will also perform some solo organ music.
